Norix 1(1.5 mg)

The Norix 1  Emergency Contraceptive Pill is a hormonal contraceptive containing Levonorgestrel, a type of progestin (a synthetic form of progesterone). It is primarily used for emergency contraception to help prevent unintended pregnancies. Additionally, it is sometimes used in hormonal contraception through intrauterine devices (IUDs).

• Prevents or delays the release of an egg from the ovary.
• Inhibits fertilization by preventing sperm from meeting the egg.
• Alters the uterine lining to reduce the chances of implantation.
• It does not affect an existing pregnancy and does not cause abortion.

Should be taken as soon as possible, ideally within 12 hours and no later than 72 hours (3 days) after unprotected intercourse or contraceptive failure.
